The lodge lies well outside any light pollution, which makes it one of the more reliable places in Swedish Lapland to see the aurora. The season runs from September to late March, and the best hours are usually between 5 pm and 2 am. You don't need to go anywhere: step out of your room, look up.
Learn to handle a sled and drive your own dog team along frozen rivers and through the forest. Tours range from short introductions to half- and full-day trips, and we adapt pace and distance to the group.
Guided snowmobile tours from the lodge across lakes and marshland. Suitable for beginners; a driving licence is required to drive your own machine.
In winter we fish through the ice on nearby lakes; in summer the Kalix River offers grayling, trout and pike. Equipment and guiding available.
A traditional sauna by the lodge. Book a slot at reception, 150 SEK per person. A roll in the snow is optional but recommended.
